The Maplewood Police Department is accepting applications from currently employed, POST-certified peace officers. Lateral hires receive a signing bonus of $15,000 paid in three installments, credit toward vacation accrual, and waiver of the standard academy requirement.
**Minimum qualifications**
– Current California POST Basic Certificate (or equivalent and eligible for waiver)
– Two (2) years continuous sworn experience within the last three (3) years
– No felony convictions; no sustained findings of dishonesty
– Pass POST medical, psychological, and background examinations
